Breath of Fresh Air is a deeply personal editorial zine that serves as both a visual exploration and an emotional tribute to my partner. Designed as a tactile expression of intimacy, the zine captures the nuanced and vulnerable moments within our relationship through the lens of minimalistic editorial design.
This project merges raw emotion with refined design, using sparse yet intentional typography and carefully considered layouts to create a sense of openness and calm. The visual language leans heavily into white space, muted tones, and delicate type choices, drawing inspiration from high end editorial publications while preserving a sense of sincerity and warmth.
Accompanying the typographic design are grainy, analogue style photographs, shot and curated by myself, that document quiet, intimate scenes from our time together. These images lend a personal, nostalgic quality to the zine, evoking a sense of memory and emotional texture. The grain acts not only as a visual aesthetic but also as a metaphor for the imperfection and beauty of real love.
